Shadow a CRNA

The Professional Outreach & Engagement Committee of OSANA works to connect interested RNs with volunteer CRNAs who are willing to host shadow experiences. Due to the high demand for shadow opportunities, we currently accept requests from Ohio ICU RNs only. Joining OSANA as an RN member is highly encouraged - go to the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology for more details. 

Our committee reviews requests on a monthly basis, and we do our best to match interested RNs with available CRNAs across the state. Please note that placement depends on preceptor availability and facility requirements.

We encourage you to first explore shadowing opportunities through professional connections or your current place of employment when possible. Additionally, CRNAs volunteer their time for these experiences. We ask that all participants come prepared with learning goals, arrive on time, and engage professionally throughout the day.
