Member Benefits

Upon joining the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Ohio residents receive the following OSANA member benefits as well.

Statewide Advocacy

Under the direction of the legislative team at Shumaker Advisors, OSANA advocates for CRNAs and the practice of nurse anesthesiology at the Ohio Statehouse.  OSANA is represented at state regulatory board meetings such as the Ohio Board of Nursing and Ohio Board of Medicine.

Legal Counsel

OSANA employees a legal counsel to assist with question regarding CRNA practice, Ohio laws, regulatory agencies or other matters related to the scope of practice for CRNAs.

Group Health Benefits

In 2021, OSANA began a partnership with Association Benefits Planners to begin offering the opportunity for group health insurance.  Not only does ABP have access to the ACA Marketplace, but also a variety of several alternatively funded plans to meet your needs. Plans can be fully insured, to partially self-funded, to Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements (MEWA) for small member employers.

Publications

At the state level, OSANA produces a bi-annual newsletter, monthly online updates and weekly legislative updates.  In addition, OSANA hosts a members only app and a social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.  If you aren’t receiving OSANA communications, reach out to Peggy Blankenship.

Awards Program

Through its annual awards program, OSANA honors educators and CRNAs throughout the state for their advocacy and excellence in the field of nurse anesthesia.

Programs and Events

Our annual conference, PAC fundraisers, virtual webinars, book clubs, CRNA connect events…where do we begin!  OSANA offers a wide selection of statewide programs and events for its members, including the latest topics and trends in anesthesia.
