Jack Stem was recently appointed to the AANA Peer Assistance Committee where he will serve a term of one year working on wellness and recovery assistance initiatives to support the 50,000+ AANA members. Jack has served as the chair of the Peer Assistance/Wellness Committee for OSANA for 11 years and is a current State Peer Advisor.
Stem is the Founder of Peer Advocacy for Impaired Nurses, LLC, which provides information to nurses with substance use disorders. The recovery assistance which he delivers to professionals who want to take their recovery to the next level is held in high regard by his clients and colleagues. Jack provides continuing education on addiction, peer assistance, wellness, for Ohio’s Nurse Anesthesia programs, and works to promote public safety through participation in educational seminars and speaking engagements on recognizing and prevention of addiction in the workplace. Jack is also currently the lead counselor for the Suboxone Intensive Outpatient Program at Northland treatment facility in Milford, Ohio. He provides education for the Intensive Outpatient program, and the Family Night programs for Northland as well as the residential treatment center, The Ridge in Batavia, Ohio.
